If you have ever had an idea for a business but didn't know how to go about turning that dream into a reality, or if you have ever pondered what it would be like to be your own boss, then this course is definitely for you! What does it take to be an entrepreneur? Would you like to start your own business, but are unsure of what business options are out there?
Course Description:
This Essential Guide to Starting Your Own Business is presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration to equip small business owners and entrepreneurs with the tools, information, and resources necessary to launch their own business.
This course explores the fundamentals of entrepreneurialism (brainstorming business ideas, assessing market opportunity, and business options). Additionally, students are introduced to the "must do" steps involved in starting their own business. These essentials include putting a basic plan of action into place, getting support from a mentor, and understanding financing options.

- SCORE is a resource partner with the SBA. The SBA administers a Congressional grant which provides SCORE with funding. SCORE volunteers work with the SBA to provide small business mentoring and training to entrepreneurs through SBA offices.
